Victoria Andrus, “Profe Victoria”
Founder and Lead Teacher. Bachelor's in Spanish, Minor in TESOL.
Speaks English and Spanish
Helping families raise confident bilingual kids. That has been the mission since 2021, when Spanish with Littles started with one teacher and a small group of families.
Spanish with Littles began in 2021 with its founder, Victoria Andrus, known to her students as Profe Victoria. Her own Spanish teaching journey began in 2015, and she has over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish and English to both children and adults.
Victoria grew up in a multilingual household with a French-speaking father, yet she was never taught French herself, and she missed opportunities to connect more deeply with extended family. That experience shapes how she relates to many of the families and students she teaches today. A middle-school French class only made things worse, leaving her nervous, defeated, and disengaged.
Everything changed at age 17, when she took Spanish for the first time. Through passion, play-based learning, and comprehensible input, she discovered what language learning could feel like: immersive and meaningful without being overwhelming. She went on to study Spanish and English as a Second Language in college, and her work since has included teaching, interpreting, curriculum development, and teacher training.
Having personally experienced the loss that can come from not sharing a language with loved ones, Victoria is deeply committed to creating learning environments where children feel confident, capable, and proud of their ability to communicate, especially students learning Spanish to connect with their families, cultures, and communities.
“Children are hardwired to learn languages and when we follow their lead, it sticks.”

We believe a passion for teaching and for seeing students grow matters more than when you started speaking the language, and it shows every student and family that learning Spanish is for ANYONE who wants to learn!
Founder & Lead Teacher
Profe Victoria is the founder of Spanish with Littles and has over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish and English to both children and adults.
She grew up in a multilingual household with a French-speaking father, but despite being surrounded by another language, she was never taught French herself. As a result, she missed opportunities to connect more deeply with extended family members, an experience that deeply shapes how she relates to many of the families and students she now teaches.
In middle school, Victoria took a French class that left her feeling nervous, defeated, and disengaged. The traditional, textbook-based approach reinforced the idea that language learning was difficult and discouraging.
Everything changed at age 17, when she took Spanish for the first time. Through a combination of passion, play-based learning, and comprehensible input, she experienced what language learning could feel like: immersive and meaningful without being overwhelming. That experience sparked a lifelong love for Spanish and for language learning.
Victoria went on to study Spanish and English as a Second Language in college and has taught Spanish and English in a variety of settings. Her work has included teaching, interpreting, curriculum development, and teacher training. Across all of these roles, one thing has remained constant: her love of watching students transform in the classroom.
She is especially passionate about supporting students who are learning Spanish to connect with their families, cultures, and communities.
Having personally experienced the loss that can come from not sharing a language with loved ones, Victoria is deeply committed to creating learning environments where children feel confident, capable, and proud of their ability to communicate.
Through Spanish with Littles, Profe Victoria creates joyful, immersive spaces where students move from timid to fearless, parents feel confident in the learning process, and language becomes a bridge, not a barrier.

David currently lives in Texas but was born and raised in Mexico City in a fully bilingual household with an American mom and a Mexican dad. Growing up as a dual citizen, David was constantly navigating Spanish, English, and cross-cultural communication; however, his passion for languages was truly awakened when he transferred over from the Mexican to the American schooling system. Having attended an American academy founded abroad specifically for international students, David was afforded the privilege of meeting people from all over the world (South Korea, Germany, Colombia, Brazil, China, the Philippines, Canada, and various others) without having to leave Mexico City. Given his third-culture background and love of teaching, David earned a Bachelor of Science in Bilingual Education from Texas A&M University in 2019, acquired a Speech and Language Specialist certificate from the International Open Academy in 2020, and completed his teacher certification under the Texas Education Agency in 2020. David has over 10 years of experience in pedagogy from working at after-school programs for at-risk youth, volunteering his time with educational non-profit organizations, and working as an online tutor for struggling readers. In addition to working with students, David spends his free time learning about other cultures, trying to pick up other languages, and delving deeper into his own genetic history. Currently, David is working on learning Nahuatl, or Aztec, as a way to reconnect to his long forgotten cultural heritage; he hopes to be able to practice his language skills on his next trip back to Mexico. Having been on both the teacher and student end of language learning, David aspires to make the linguistic experience as fun and as stress free as possible. David's favorite part of teaching is being able to witness the almost fantastical growth that students experience when their innate curiosity is engaged, and he looks forward to meeting his students be they native speakers or emergent bilinguals.

Profe Isis is originally from El Salvador. When she was 11 years old, her family moved to the United States. It was challenging for her to learn a new language, but it was fun at the same time. She remembers that those were the most fun classes in school. She would even go to summer school because she liked them so much. Thanks to all her effort and the effort and help from her teachers, she finally learned English and became bilingual. Now that she is a parent she likes to show her kids how useful and fun it is to know more than one language! She gets super excited and thankful every time they ask her what any Spanish word means. She volunteered in an English as a Second Language class for a few years and that gave her a sense of accomplishment, she took it as a chance to give back what she had received in those ESL classes as a student herself. She also had the privilege of working as an interpreter at a hospital which was yet another way to help her community and feel the impact of being bilingual. Since she became a parent, and her kids became of school age, she has been able to volunteer in her kid's schools. Before COVID, she volunteered a lot at their schools. While volunteering she came to appreciate the love for learning through kid's eyes. She finds it amazing how quickly they learn! Their love and enthusiasm for learning new things is so mind-blowing and it makes her super excited to be able to be a part of this special process of learning and growing for them! She is also grateful to be able to share how fun and exciting learning a new language can be!
